All payments made on stars.watch are final and non-refundable. Once a star claim or boost is successfully confirmed, we do not offer refunds, credits, or exchanges for any reason, including a change of mind, being later out-staked, or dissatisfaction with placement on the map.
A claim is a digital display placement that is delivered instantly and automatically the moment payment confirms (see our Shipping Policy). Because delivery is immediate and the outcome — your logo appearing on the map — is exactly what was purchased, there is no return path for a completed transaction.
stars.watch has a "claim a star, lose it to a higher stake" mechanic: if someone stakes a higher amount on the same star while your payment is still settling, our system automatically returns your payment before your claim is ever recorded. That's not a refund you request — it's the system declining to charge you for a claim you never actually held, and it only applies in that narrow timing window. It does not apply once your claim has been confirmed and is live on the map.
If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge for the same claim) or your payment method was used without authorization, contact us and we'll investigate on a case-by-case basis. This exception is for billing errors and unauthorized use only — it is not a general right to request a refund.
